Who Am I?

I'm having trouble with my internet connection at the moment, so I thought I would schedule this blog post while I can get on line. This photo was a selfie I took last Christmas but I had forgotten I had zoomed in on something else during the previous photo. I learnt how to do the pleated rosettes during my attendance at the Kaisercraft class. I still wouldn't describe them as easy but I think they're worth doing again.

This is my DT submission for The Lollipop Ladies challenge # 49 which was inspired by Fantales with the extra challenge of text. My husband was very pleased to assist me with this LO by eating some Fantales for my to use. :)

I was inspired by the sketch below from Scrapbook Kits with a Difference.

Bond Uni Graduation

Just to demonstrate How Times Change (the topic and title of my previous LO), here is one with my brother, sister and I in 2009 when I was graduating from University with a Masters of Criminology. Just a small step forward from graduating Grade 6! :) I wasn't happy with the professional photos taken on this day, however the casual ones taken before the ceremony were quite nice.

This LO was inspired by a few different challenges running this month. Firstly, I was inspired by the beautiful blue/tan of the bird at Show Us Your Stuff. It reminded me of the lovely Prairie Lane collection by Kaisercraft however it turns out I only had two sheets left from that range, hence the addition of the pink/orange version of the same patterns known as the Penny Royale collection. Their Try This technique for the month was book paper blooms and you can see I included a pink one in the right bottom corner. The bloom also counts as my handmade embellishment for Frosted Designs Fab Friday challenge. Oh, I also handmade the fabric covered button.

I figured since I was planning on using Kaisercraft papers I may as well use one of their fantastic Saturday Sketches as well. This LO is based on the #1 sketch for June. Kaisercraft papers, die cuts, brad and rubber stamp were used, mixture of Prairie Lane and Penny Royale collections. I've signed up to complete a full-day class at the Robina Kaisercraft outlet with a friend next weekend. I'm looking forward to learning a lot of new flower-making techniques and also getting a chance to hopefully pick up some of the newish Great Southern Land collection.

Lastly, the blue/pink/orange colour combo is perfect for the Scrapbook Kits With a Difference colour inspiration for this month.

Christmas Crazy

It's finally my turn to reveal my LO for The Lollipop Ladies this fortnight! I love Christmas and it's one of the few times I get to see my family so I always take lots of photos. This LO features my sister and her partner, Leeham. Papers are a mix of Kaisercraft Christmas ranges, mainly from back in 2010 I think. The photos are from 2010 as well so I thought they suited.

The inspiration for this fortnight is the freckles below with the added challenge of spots. There are still five days to enter this challenge and the blog accepts very wide interpretations of the challenge. It's open to all forms of papercraft so you can create cards, LO's, OTP items etc. Guest DT spots are able to be won each fortnight and the sponsor for the $10 gift voucher this fortnight is: Annabelle Stamps.

I used this great sketch from Scrap With V for this LO as well. It had such a great design that I didn't really have to change it much at all. The main circle looked a bit plain originally, so I added the Scrapmatts chipboard and Kaisercraft pearls and I think it finished off the LO perfectly.

Egg Hunt!

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it! I couldn't miss the opportunity to whip up a quick Easter page given it's Good Friday. The photo was taken last year and I've been meaning to print it for quite a while. I know the quality of the photo isn't that good, but I like the emotion it captures which for me is more important than a 'perfect' but posed photo. Ribbons are from the fantastic Craft Queen, part of the stash I won as a prize on a challenge blog.

The LO was also inspired by two current challenges. Firstly, The Lollipop Ladies have Froot Loops as their inspiration source this fortnight with the added challenge of glitter. I have used glitter alphas for 'egg' and also sprinkled glitted on the paint circles while they were wet. I've drawn inspiration from the green, purple and pink froot loops and also the circle shapes.

I couldn't past the fantastic sketch offered for April over at Scrap with V. I only had the one photo so I moved my title to the top left. I otherwise stayed pretty true to the sketch.

Benny

It has been a while since I scrapped a picture of my darling husband all by himself so that was my task for this weekend. Once again, Ben didn't like the photo I used but I told him this is pretty much how he looks every day so I love it. :) I'm happy I finally got to use the big flower as I think I've had it in my stash for about 5 years! I also used some lovely Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

This LO was inspired by two challenges. Scrap with V has this stunning photos as there Inspiration Picture for March. I went with the large yellow/orange flower and the blue background.

I also used this wonderful sketch from Handmade by Suzanne:
