Castle ATC's

I hosted a Castle themed swap over at ATCsforAll.com. Some of the cards sent in were just stunning! These are the three cards I painted.

Mum and Me LO - Happy Mother's Day

In honour of mother's day I decided to go with a photo of my mum and I for the Challenge Heaven sketch challenge for May. Here is the sketch:

I wanted to highlight the pink of my jumper and after playing around with a few different paper combinations realised the Kaisercraft Pennyroyale would be perfect. I still have heaps of the paper range left over from when I made Mum's 50th birthday album. I don't normally deviate too much from the sketch but decided to cluster things in the bottom left for this one with a small focal point in the top right for balance.

There was also a corresponding card sketch so I decided to whip up a quick card with the leftovers from the LO. It was originally going to be a belated mother's day card but instead I went with the pre-made diecut sentiment.

Graduation Kisses LO

It's a new month so there's a whole new set of challenges over at Challenge Heaven. This LO is for the Word Challenge, it had to use the word 'Kisses' and contain stitching. I went for faux stitching for the border as I don't have a sewing machine or the patience to stitch it for real.

Alice and a Pencil Eye

I decided that some of my available cards have been in my gallery too long so gave them a bit of a re-make. The Alice card below I made over so much I decided to count it as a new card.

Card 101/365: New Cup

I think I might try doing a series of these pencil eye cards, they're quite fun and I always enjoy doing pencil work.
